Fichtner and Harris Board Phantom
Submarine-set horror for Will and EdFresh from stealing Drive Angry from under Nicolas Cage's flaring nostrils, William Fichtner is next shoring in the already impressive cast of Phantom, which to date boasts Erectile dysfunction Harris, Andy Garcia and Natascha McElhone. The project was initially mooted in May, but has become formally continue, with financing in the RCR Media group (who also acquired the presently-directorless Highlander at Cannes). Set on the soviet sub throughout the Cold War, Phantom involves a Russian captain juggling multiple problems: on one side they have a rogue KGB unit to deal with, and alternatively they have supernatural forces attempting to seize control of his nuclear wessel. That doesn't seem just like a good day. Hollywood's last attempt for a haunted submarine story was David Twohy's Below 10 years ago, co-compiled by Darren Aronofsky, but more-or-less disowned by Dimension. It sank in the box office. RCR is going to be wishing for more from Phantom, that has Todd Robinson (Lonely Hearts) writing and pointing. Appears such as the ocean is within his bloodstream: he also authored Ridley Scott's Whitened Squall. Shooting begins in ( Scream for me personally! ) Lengthy Beach, California in October.
