Todd Phillips comedy set for March
Warner Bros. has dated "Project X," its low-budget high-concept comedy developed by Todd Phillips, for March 2.Two months ago, the studio had set "Project X" for Nov. 23. But the studio subsequently pulled it off that date before announcing the March opening on Tuesday.Story centers on three high school seniors throwing a birthday party to make a name for themselves. Things spiral out of control as word of the party spreads.Phillips is producing through his Warner-based Green Hat banner along with Silver Pictures. Joel Silver, Scott Budnick, Andew Rona, Alex Heineman and Steve Richards are exec producing. "Project X" will open against Universal's "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" and Paramount's "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters."Warners has selected April 13 as the launch date for Walter Hill's "Bullet to the Head," starring Sylvester Stallone and Sung Kang as a hitman and a cop who form an alliance in order to bring down a common enemy. Project is being produced by Dark Castle and IM Global."Bullet" will open against Lionsgate's horror vehicle "Cabin in the Woods," FilmDistrict's sci-fier "Lockout" and Relativity's unititled Farrelly brothers comedy.
