Avenged Sevenfold Studio Recording Techniques...?

I'm desperate to understand how they've managed to record their guitar
work on their latest album and I'm trying to recreate the chunky sound
'Victim' has during it's first solo section for some of my own work.

Advice is really what I'm after! I've began looking into Adam Hawkins
(their engineer for Nightmare) and Mike Elizondo's (their producer for
Nightmare) work.
